I’m a Yorkshireman living in the Conwy valley. I have always loved being in the great outdoors and have enjoyed walking since being taken into the Yorkshire Dales and onto the moors as a child.
I started my blog as a record of where I was going and what I was doing and it is mainly photographs taken on walks or on days out in north Wales.
North Wales is such a great place and there are so many places to see, so many things to do. I’ll never get through most of them. Still, it will be fun trying.
I am a member of the RSPB and Cadw.

What a great blog.
I have enjoyed reading about your walks and think the photographs compliment the postings well. Will be returning soon to have another read. Being a great walker myself I will be looking at some of these walks with a view to doing them myself.
Being a local myself I am very interested to read your blog as it gives a different perspective on somewhere one takes for granted. It’s definitely given me some thoughts on where to go for my next walk.
Keep up the postings!
@rojblake
Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoy my blog. There are so many places to visit it’s hard to fit them all in.
Fantastic blog I’m enjoying from the otherside of the world in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA. I want to bring my wife & 3 sons to their “ancestral heartland”….I have this longing (Hiraeth) to revisit North Wales and will get there one day.
I breifly stayed at Plas Menai back in 2006 and the scenery was as stunning as your photos show.
Thanks for the posting.
P.S I read with particular interest the story of Moelfre Bay and the shipwreck in transit from Melbourne to Liverpool. Look forward to visiting there.
Thank you very much for your comments, Don.
North Wales has so much to offer, it’s a wonderful place. Everyone knows about the mountains of Snowdonia, but there is so much more.
I hope I can keep on adding posts, I will be trying my best.
Congratulations on winning the Visit Walesblog award. Well deserved.
Hi Martin, and thank you.
The shortlisted blogs were all so good, and so varied. What a great advertisement for Wales.
Good luck for the future.
From all of us at CD-Traveller, congratulations on your success with this blog. Some of the photos are wonderfully evocative. We’re happy to give you a plug on the website today.
Thank you Adrian.
